Subject: Proposal For Report on social network security

The line between the social life and the private life of many people is steadily becoming paper thin. Sites have evolved to be very inviting to users to post information that they think is secure, a lot of this information was only ever meant for their friends eyes. I propose to write a report on the dangers of social networking sites such as Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter.

Need:

Attacks on the users of social networking sites has increased steadily but users still do not think it is a serious threat.
  • Social networking sites need better virus, malware, Hacking, and identity theft protection for their users

Topics:

This report will include the progression of attacks that have occurred through the evolution of social networking sites spanning from Myspace, to Facebook, And finally to Twitter. Also, I will be discussing the security options that are available on these sites and possible ways that they could be improved. These improvements could be, but are not limited to, more diverse options for users to be more specific in their security needs, or the implementation of an application, voluntary or otherwise, that would work as a virus software similar to a virus blocker on a computer.
